EXQUISITE !!This is a very rare Egg of Hackmanite (variety of Sodalite) with Pyrite from world - famous location - Mont Saint Hilaire in dark Nepheline Syenite?
Hackmanite is known for its tenebrescence. When exposed to SW UV for a prolonged period, its color changes to a rose/purple color. This is short lived and fades quickly when exposed to bright white light. To get these pictures, it was necessary to take the pictures very quickly under low light with a long exposure time. Under SW UV, the Hackmanite fluoresces a yellow/orange.
